"[Buckminster Fuller's] work is in the DNA of modern sustainability efforts—he wanted to make the world work for all of humanity in the shortest possible time, without harming the planet’s ecological processes. A philanthropic prize in his name, The Buckminster Fuller Challenge, carries on some of that legacy, rewarding sustainability projects more tied to reality than some of his ideas, but with a certain amount of audacious flair nonetheless. Like Fuller’s career, the Challenge encompasses several fields, with a big emphasis on design and architecture, but also healthcare, agriculture, labor and urban planning."

“Technology evolved by man is thus far amateurish compared to the elegance of non-humanly contrived regeneration. Man does not spontaneously recognize technology other than his own, so he speaks of the rest as something he ignorantly calls nature." -Buckminster Fuller Have you used AskNature? Its a robust database Nature's 'technology' with 3.8 billion years of R&D.
