"I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a community that is full of so many wonderful students and faculty" said Bailee Brown '19 who came to Brooklyn Law from the Legal Aid Society where she was working. While at Brooklyn Law, she is a Sparer Fellow, on the Journal of Law & Policy, and is also working for Sancutary for Families, advocating for survivors of domestic violence. Bailee's law school experience would not have been possible without her scholarship. @brooklynlaw Professor Jayne Ressler weighs in on a Connecticut judge's unusual opinion rejecting the use of pseudonyms in a civil court case over an alleged rape, saying there is a divide among judges around the country about whether to grant anonymity and there is no uniform understanding of privacy rights in such cases. Ressler believes pseudonyms should be allowed: “There is so much risk and so much humiliation and potential embarrassment and shaming that comes along with being a plaintiff in a lawsuit. We desperately need anonymity in these cases to allow plaintiffs to feel free to bring their claims, not feel threatened, not feel stigmatized,” Ressler said. https://apnews.com/e07ba9e2c12146c4aa66f994f434acbf
