The scholarship programme aims to encourage a new generation of high-achieving women to take up the challenge of a career in science and technology.
Each scholar will receive an annual €3,000 grant and will be paired with an Intel mentor to help them with their academic careers. They will also complete a work placement programme at the Intel campus in Leixlip.
There has been great activity over the last week within the Centre for Careers Awareness Week and DDLETB Skills Fest. Thanks to all who visited including Employers, local schools and Richard Bruton TD (a few photos below). Sincere thanks are also expressed to all the staff/apprentices/learners who actively engaged throughout the week.
The new Circus Arts Class for Juniors and Inters begins in exactly one week. There is still time to book in so email the office now to register for the class. It's only a 9 week workshop so don't skip out on the opportunity while it's here.

Please keep your dogs on leads when you see a working Assistance Dog. An attack on an Assistance dog by an off-lead dog is enough to end their working life.
If an Assistance dog becomes nervous they're in no position to look after their human, wasting all those years of love and training - this could result in the person they have been trained for losing their dog.
And that's devastating.
Do you find yourself struggling to get the right balance between doing things yourself and delegating to others? Prof. Clutterbuck shares a wonderful tool to manage conversations about control.
This is a moving and provocative film on the effects of westernised schooling on cultures around the world and on the environment, by renowned director Carol Black. A must-see.
While all are welcome, the film is not suitable for young children, as it contains scenes that are upsetting. Westside library has a children's section, where children must be supervised by parents (it is in a separate room to the film), and free parking. It is a 20 minutes walk from the city centre.
VOLUNTARY DONATIONS to help with the costs of the screening much appreciated.
The film is an hour in length but we have the space until 5 p.m. to chat.
