Email Shannon Hessel, Director of the Studio, to reserve a spot: [email protected] More info: A Global Leadership Voyage: form, process, and action Organised by the ESSEC Leadership and Diversity Chair Junko Takagi, Chair Professor In this workshop, we invite CBS students to join ESSEC students from the Leadership and Diversity Chair for a global leadership voyage mobilizing artistically influenced experiences to collectively develop global leadership intelligence. We will address research on cross-cultural management that suggests that while the role of leadership is potentially universal, its embodiment and perceptions of leadership behaviors vary significantly across cultures. We juxtapose this with the growing literature on global leadership and global leadership competencies. Based on this conceptual background, we will reflect on what is meaningful leadership, and how it is embodied in different cultural contexts. The workshop will be organised around storytelling through which we will collectively create a leadership voyage across and beyond cultures. The workshop is organised around various group exercises interlaced with discussions and conceptual presentations. The objective is to take participants from a cross-cultural understanding of leadership at the beginning of the day, to a collectively constructed understanding of global leadership and leadership competencies by the end of the workshop. This workshop is particularly for students interested in global leadership, intercultural management, and innovation and creativity. The workshop will be from 9:30 to 16:30 at the Studio, Copenhagen Business School. There are 20 places available. Lunch is not provided.
